The Unix Lab is the Computer Science Academic Space at NYU Abu Dhabi. Come over for help from our friendly team of peer tutors on assignments, CS concepts, personal tech projects and even non-CS courses.

We are located at the third floor of C2 right next to the library. This is your space to come work, collaborate and learn. The Unix Lab houses several work stations with dual monitors to connect your laptop to and a Mac server.

The Unix lab is a shared 24/7 learning space. All NYUAD students are welcome to use the lab and seek assistance from the lab tutors during scheduled tutor hours. The following rules apply:

• Bring your coding projects, problem sets, books and learn together.
• Respect the lab tutors and other students using the space.
• Tutors are available to support and assist you and others. They do not solve assignments. During busy hours, tutors may not have enough time to help you. If you need special or further assistance beyond what the tutors offer, please talk to your course instructors.
• Keep the lab a welcome space: do not litter, hog tables, leave personal items around, play loud music, etc. Personal items left in the lab will be discarded. Tutors may ask you to clear a study/desk space for others, lower your music or have a softer group discussion.
• Reference books in the unix lab library should remain the lab. Please reshelf the books after you have read them.
